A Weekend Exploring with Citroën

Over the Weekend Sev and Lily, along with their driver [me!] got to try out the New Citroën C5 Aircross SUV. Of course that called for a Weekend exploring with Citroen in the Cotswold Countryside.

The Citroen C5 Aircross is a gorgeous, stylish and comfortable SUV. Amazing for a spaniel family, ready for a Weekend of adventures.
Not only is the car great for dogs, with a large boot to fit luggage, hounds and even maybe a surf board. Sev and Lily got seat belted on the back seat, and settled really easily with a favourite blanket.
Knowing that the dogs are both safe in the car and happy to travel on long journeys is really important and when both human and hound can have the best trip, more road trips and adventures are a must.

The technology on the Citroen C5 Aircross is amazing for the driver too, with so many assist features, helping to drive the best way with precious furry pals on board. Including cameras, speed limit recommendations, lane departure warning & blind spot monitoring [amongst many others]

The Weekend exploring with Citroen started with getting used to the car, with back seat naps for Sev & Lily. Driving around the gorgeous countryside roads of the Cotswolds, before the rain started pouring just as we got to Cotswold Lavender. Somehow the car was a great place to take shelter [although sadly the rain never passed] listening to music whilst cuddling spaniels overlooking stunning purple fields.

The sun thankfully shone on Sunday morning, where the destination was another gorgeous Cotswold village, Castle Combe. A favourite for the dogs, with a great walk just past the hustle and bustle of the tourist filled village whilst still seeing those gorgeous Cotswold cottages and the ever so picturesque bridge.

The last and most exciting stop of the road trip around the Cotswolds in the Citroen C5 Aircross, was to Widbrook Grange. A stunning dog friendly farmhouse hotel in the beautiful Bradford on Avon, perfect for a staycation with the spaniels, with spa, gin bar, amazing food and stunning bedrooms, as well as gorgeous gardens and amazing fields for many spaniel zoomies.

The hotel is wonderfully dog friendly, being able to sit in the bar and lounge with hounds as well as being able to eat in the conservatory. This trip called for a relaxing night, with some quality time with Sev & Lily. Room service for making the most of the cosy and massive bed, whilst the dogs also got to lounge on dog beds and had bowls provided for the stay too. As well as this both Sev & Lily got treated to a "Woof" box, filled with treats, food, poo bags and a ball- everything you need for a trip if something important is forgotten, a go to travel with dogs box that is great to have in the car for the next trip.

As well as the Woof box, the spaniels also got to try the Widbrook Grange dog afternoon tea. With amazing wet food, a delicious creamy drink and some dry food to nibble. Two very happy spaniels.

The Weekend was the perfect way to explore so many gorgeous places so close by, always appreciating the beautiful Wiltshire Countryside with the dogs by my side. Driving around and exploring, visiting new and old places whilst spending quality time [of many walks and cuddles] with the dogs was the best Weekend exploring with Citroen and just what we all needed.

Thanks to Citroen & Widbrook Grange for the best Weekend; all thoughts are our own
