The Hampshire Hog; Dog Friendly Pub with Bedrooms

Last month, slowly starting to find our travelling feet [and paws] again, we headed to Hampshire with Fullers to see some of their gorgeous pubs with bedrooms.
The Hampshire Hog is a gorgeous countryside pub, in the rolling hills of the South Downs and not too far away from the hustle of Portsmouth, it's a great place to visit with dogs.

The pub itself is gorgeous, with a lovely beer garden over looking the Country hills, amazing menu and wonderful drinks being served. When staying in one of the boutique bedrooms, breakfast is also served each morning with a great selection of cold bits and hot options from the menu. Of course Sev & Lily also got treated to bacon and sausages one more too.

The bedrooms at The Hampshire Hog were basic with a little character, the fresh milk in the fridge was great if you drink tea or coffee and the fridge itself was particularly useful for Sev & Lily's fresh food as they eat Butternut Box. The room was a large size, with a sweet double sink and shower room, sadly no bath though [long time readers know I do love a bath!]
With a few small areas of grass outside and around the back of the hotel, this was the go to stop for toilet breaks early morning and late in the evening before heading out to explore more of the area.

Being located in such a beautiful area there is many things to see and do, getting outside with the dogs, the best part of the trip! Not having long to explore we when adventuring on Sunday, finding some wonderful dog walks in the most pretty of places.

Queen Elizabeth Country Park
This stunning Country Park is just a small drive away from The Hampshire Hog, with gorgeous woodland areas and walks galore. Guided by two sniffing spaniels, we made our way up the trials and into beautiful forest areas.
With many different paths and trials you can take, it's a gorgeous visit for long dog walks in a gorgeous location.

River Hamble Country Park
After our long walk, the water was calling our name. River Hamble Country Park is around a 30 minute drive from The Hampshire Hog and is situated on the River Hamble, although still has many gorgeous woodland trials and walks too.
Making our way down to the river was a gorgeous walk in itself before finding an area to inflate our Bluefin SUP and head out on the water.
Sev and Lily love paddle boarding so it's great to find areas when travelling that we can get out on the water for a couple of hours and enjoy it, usually we a swim or two in between.
