The Blue Tomato and Rock Beach, Breakfast

Travelling so much with dogs means that we are always on the look out for dog friendly places to visit. Our trip to Cornwall was no different, and excitingly got researching where to visit and eat on holiday.

Not having to search to far, we came across The Blue Tomato Cafe. It boasts to be "way more than a cafe" so of course we had to try it out and see just how dog friendly they were.

Sev, Lily and Alfie were allowed with us in the covered outside area, but not inside the cafe itself. Being a warm November morning this wasn't a problem at all, and blankets were placed over the seats in case you did need to snuggle up.

The perfect time for breakfast, we certainly made the most of the menu and feasted! What was even better was the dog menu too, falling head over heels as soon as I arrived.
Starting with cinnamon toast, moving onto pancakes and even [just about] having room for a delicious milkshake. The food was amazing and with the relaxed atmosphere and views over looking Rock beach, it really was the perfect way to start the day.

Not only were the dogs welcomed with the dog menu, they had fresh water by the table and were able to admire the food from up on the bench seats too.
Sev and Lily decided on sausages from the menu, keeping it light but yummy, as they knew that beach walks weren't long away.

I later found out that my parents have been to Blue Tomato Cafe with Alfie and Tilly, more than once. We certainly seem late to the game on this one!
The Cafe is so lovely and the food just wonderful. Allowing dogs and being so dog friendly is just another perk, and we'd most certainly visit again when in the North Cornwall area ♥

After eating our own weight in all the scrummy breakfast, the best idea was head down to the beach to walk to off. Just a stones throw away from the cafe is Rock beach, and what a stunning beach it is!
Just perfect for the dogs to go crazy and dip in and out of the sea, the yellow sandy beach runs along for miles and even in November it had many people enjoying morning walks and hikes along the hills further on.

Lily enjoys the water, and although she has swam before, just paddling was far more fun while watching Sev and Alfie become little seals and swim after the sand we threw in for them.
Seeing the dogs off lead and running around is one of the best sights, I always think they're shouting as they run "I'm free! I'm freee!"
