My Autumn Uniform

Autumn and Winter style is something I adore, feeling a lot more comfortable and free to style up outfits that reflect my sense of fashion.

The hats and boots come out, big knits get unfolded and the bright colours turn to greys and rich Autumnal fancies. Feeling as you can "chuck" anything on and as long as you layer it up and have a berry lipstick in tow- you're good to go.

This is the outfit I always seem to aim for, for walking the dogs, a lunch date with Sam or meeting the girls down the pub. It all comes together so well, and I feel so comfortable, yet so Autumn ready wearing these key items.

Floppy or fedora hats are a must for this time of year, ranging in colours from black, grey and even burgundy. They can so easily dress up an outfit and make it feel a little more special and put together.

Ankle boots are in my wardrobe all year around [we do live in the UK after all] but when I can let them free as September comes around I feel such joy. Paired with little woolen socks, ankle grazer jeans or even tights.

Layers and layers make up the last of my Autumn uniform. Tartan capes, like this one lighten the outfit and bring all the elements together personally. A few other favourites are big blanket scarves and fur stoles to add to cosy jumpers and warm coats.
