Harry Potter Fanatic.

Last year I was lucky enough to visit both The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the Harry Potter Studio Tour. Although I'm no die hard fan, I do adore the books and the films a huge amount. I want Ron's babies & dream of getting my letter from Hogwarts ♥

In September, Sam and I had the best holiday of our lives to Orlando Florida. We were both excited to visit WWOHP as it was new since our last trip, and looked pretty awesome from all the press and photographs we'd seen of it. Wizarding World is in the Islands of Adventure Park, in the Universal Studios resort. Over the two days we visited both parks, we decided to stay in the Hard Rock Hotel (can not recommend enough!!) and so we were able to get into   WWOHP before all the other people, as a perk of staying "on site". We used this well, turning up at check in super early and getting down there to a pretty quiet park.

If you are ever in Orlando and visiting the parks, then you'd honestly be a fool to miss this. They've mixed Diagon Alley and Hogsmead together, to make a lovely village of cute shops selling amazing gifts and goodies. You walk up to the castle, which honestly looks amazing. I whole place took my breathe away a little, and I was very excited to be there and soak up all the little details, that are done very well.
Inside of Hogwarts is the "main ride", which I personally didn't think a lot of. I was also disappointed that you couldn't just walk around the whole castle, as a feature in itself, and take photos and enjoy it. You do see parts as you queue for the ride, but that just wasn't enough for me (and camera's technically weren't allowed).
I adore what the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is, but I do think they could make a lot more of it. Expansion needs to happen, but now no more films and books are being released I'm unsure if this will come about.

In December we the visited the Harry Potter Studio Tour, as a little Christmas treat. There has been a huge amount of photos and blog post on the tour and it looked great, once we got back from Florida, we knew it was a must.
We drove down for the day, stopping for a little lunch on the way there.

The tour is amazing, and any fan has no excuse not to go. The studio tour is obviously the set of Harry Potter, so it feels more real and maybe a little more special than WWOHP. It was so exciting seeing bits of the sets, and different costumes and items from the films. I honestly believe that the gift shop was better there also, but of course the prices were still just as high.  It's a fabulous experience to encounter, and once you're past the Great Hall, you're able to spend as little or as long in there as you like. I loved seeing all the Christmas decorations up, it got me feeling ever so festive. We didn't try Butter Beer here, as we had done in WWOHP, but they do sell it half way around, I hate to say it but I'm not a fan (sad face),

Both are so very different, and very special in their own ways. They're not trying to be the same thing, and that's what I like. I'd visit both again in a flash (hello planning next Florida holiday!).
Have you been to either Wizarding World of Harry Potter or the Harry Potter Studio Tour?
What do you love about them, and what do you think could be improved?
