Dog Friendly Wales: Part Two

At the start of October our furry family made it to Snowdonia, to find the best dog friendly places to visit with Visit Wales.

Day Three
Tuesday was the perfect day for climbing Mt. Snowdon. With a mix of clear and cloudy fair weather for October, we made our ascent to the summit....

Although it wasn't easy, it was such an achievement. The whole climb, up and down, took around seven hours. Pit stops on the way were welcomed by us all, with treats for both humans and hounds to keep energy levels high.

A full blog post about climbing Snowdon with dogs is on the way so watch out for that.

Snowdon is no easy task, but we're very proud that we managed it as a (fur) family. The dogs motivate me, drive me and make me so happy in a way I never thought they would. Who knew I'd climb my second mountain within a year.

Keen to get home, to our safari tent, we warmed the hot tub soothe our aching bones. The hot tub is such a great feature and really made it feel like a luxury break.

Day Four
One that had been planned the longest, kayaking on Bala Lake. Although the weather was colder our spirits were high.
The longer drive meant stopping for lunch on the way. Finding a really lovely cafe and patisserie that was dog friendly. Cakes lined the shelves and coffee helped perk us up.

Stunning mountains over looked the lake, despite the mist you could see how lovely it was.
First up, the row boat, although Sev and Lily just wanted to jump in for a swim.
Not letting the weather spoil our fun, we donned wet suits and headed for the kayaks. Sev jumped on mine while Lily enjoyed being with Sam, paddling up and down the lake, even stopping for a swim before heading home.

Day Five
After packing the car up and waving goodbye to the lovely glamping tent, we headed to a wonderful cafe, close to where we stayed.

From coffee to prosecco, breakfast to Sunday lunch, this place does it all and allows dogs inside too. The breakfast was really good and just what was needed to prepare us for the long drive home.

Thank you Wales, we can't wait to return for more adventures soon.
