Summer Lavender Fields

After visiting Lavender fields last year, it was on our must-do list for this year.
We decided to make a dog day of it, and on a sunny Friday in July, we made our way to Somerset Lavender.
The closest fields to us, and really not too far at all. We packed the dogs bag up, and made our way to the fields of purple, buzzing with bubble bee's and people taking delight in the cute shop and cafe.

The fields them self were actually fairly quiet, with the odd photographer or child enjoying the pretty surroundings. We managed to find a spot of shade so the dogs could cool off and I could take some photos ♥

The dogs of course wanted to jump up through the pretty flowers and chase each other around, sadly though, they had to be on leads at all times. So after they were such good pooches for the photos we treated them to a run around a near by field and paddle in the stream.
Severus and Lily of course posed nicely for the photos though, making me just as happy with this years as last...although I'd still love to go back and visit again.

On the way home we stopped by the loveliest pub for lunch and to carry on our fun dog friendly day. The Mill at Rode has a glorious out door area with the yummiest menu, we also treated the dogs with some biscuits. They were so welcoming and even had a "doggy retreat" area with water bowls to keep your furry friend hydrated.
It's a pub we'd love to visit again, maybe next time in Autumn and make the most of the cosy tartan interiors and log burner.

When is your next dog friendly adventure?
