Valentines Day Treats

Saturday, 22 February 2014

Sam and I will never say no to a bit of Valentines Day cheese, and this year it was much needed due to hardly seeing each other this past month. I know most people believe you can treat and care for you loved ones all year through (which is of course true) I never think there's any harm in spoiling Sam when ever I can, so it just seems like the perfect excuse ♥
This year however Barclay's were the one's to treat us through their Pingit app. A clever little app that lets you send and receive money, even if you don't have a Barclay's account. The ping noise just makes the whole experience even more fun!!

National Trust Members
Lots of umming and ahhing was to follow on what we should do with the money, it's not very often you get given £100 just to spend on yourself guilt free.
We decided that the best thing to do was to buy National Trust memberships for the year, we were members last year and totally loved it. Making our way through the gorgeous properties they have, really making a day of it, and even more exciting this year is that Sev can join us on some occasions too.
We swiftly headed to our favourite local National Trust, Stourhead. The gorgeous rolling hills, pretty buildings and amazing tea and cake made it all pretty special.

After getting some gorgeous flowers for all around the house, and a Sam picking up a few "essentials" from Primark to bulk his wardrobe out a little more, our money had disappeared into thin air....only how money can!
We're so glad we spent it on a membership, and will always be thinking of Barclay's when we step through into our next National Trust adventure.

  1. Looks like you had a lovely romantic time! I spent my valentines day with no presents/flowers :(
He made it up to me the next day with a Pizza Hut Buffet though!
