Harrods Afternoon Tea

Yesterday I was joined by 4 gorgeous girlies to travel to London for a close friends Birthday, the lovely Louisa was turning 26 and wanted to celebrate in style. I was thrilled to be able to go with her and once I knew it was going to be Afternoon tea at Harrods, I got even more excited.

We arrived in London and headed straight for Harrods, admiring all the gorgeous items and spending far too long in the food hall. We made our way around before checking in at the gorgeous Georgian Restaurant at midday. It was so stunning, with fresh flowers every where and gorgeous details on the ceiling. The restaurant is rather large, perfect for any celebration or wedding (they need to get on that!)
We were seated and served by a lovely little lady, she really made us smile and was very helpful and fun throughout our meal.

Harrods Champagne afternoon tea: £36 (excluding service charge)

Soon the tea, champagne and food were flowing. We toasted to Lou's Birthday, which our server noticed and soon bought out a gorgeous "Happy Birthday" plate, while it was being played on the piano too.
The food was so yummy, and we were asked if we wanted more sandwiches and cakes too.....although our eyes were bigger than our bellies! Mixed sandwiches, scones, cakes and pastries were all served and they looked too beautiful to eat, but we still did.
I had such a wonderful time, and highly recommend it to any one. It's very laid back, so not pretentious at all, however you feel special and it felt like a real treat too. We were in there for three hours and were never felt the rush to leave, I think they would have happily had us longer. It really wasn't too busy either, and they space the tables out so well, that you don't feel over looked or cramped in by others. The pianist was wonderful, and we got a bit giddy when he started playing Little Mermaid and One Direction songs ♥

The rest of the day involved lusting after a Mulberry bag, buying cute stationary and taking far too many photos of pretty flowers. It was such a lovely day, and I would happily go again Weekend after Weekend.
