For many, today is the last working day before the lovely Christmas break. A week or two off during the festive season, enjoying mulled wine, family, good food & more TV than you'd ever usually watch.
Sadly for me, I don't get to have Christmas off, and I am working a whole lot of crappy shifts, like many nurses, carer's and even retail staff. I'm still feeling jolly, and looking forward to Boxing Day, in our own home with all my family! It may be chaos, but part of me just can't wait.

Our little house is just about ready for the fun times ahead. I love how cosy our tree looks in the living room, and I'm loving the kitchen with our (fake) wood burner and mini real tree with fairy lights draped over. Many a hot chocolate has been drank, cheating on the advent calendar has occurred, and all the wrapping has been done- even if Sev tried to get in the way as much as possible.
I seem to get more and more sentimental over the years, having my boys with me on Boxing day will just be wonderful, even if we're not together Christmas Day. Giving the woofers their stockings will be fab, and I just seeing Alfie so happy trying to open everyone's presents. I'm thinking a game of Ladbrokes Deck the Halls game will be on the cards, and my Dad always buys us a cheeky scratch card for the dinner table too. I love drinking wine with my parents, and getting a little tipsy, and chatting away. I love the thought of giving and making people happy, with the things they actual want and love ♥
Memories should be made on special occassions like Christmas, so I hope you're able to make some lovely ones!

  1. Aw what a cute, cosy post! I do like seeing other people's Christmassy bits and bobs. I feel your about working over Christmas - I finish at 5pm on Christmas eve! But then I have a few days off so it's not too bad :) x
