My Hair Care Routine ♥

hair-care
hair-care

I've recently changed my hair care around a little, trying out new products and falling in love with most of them.
I am a heavy with the colour, although I am even trying to colour less with more semi-permanents. My hair has always been a frizz ball, it's very dry and needs hydration. I like to mix and match the shampoo and conditioner I use, going between "colour friendly" to "deep moisture" on a regular basis. I try not to wash my hair a lot, being in a job where I have to wear it up is rather lucky (also the fact that I'm hugely unsocial during the week) I don't have to look respectable in anyway and pinning my hair up, does just fine. Because of this, I'm also not too big on heat, I do dry and straighten/curl my hair when I wash it, but as that's once to twice a week, I think my heat damage could be a lot worse.

My basic shampoo and conditioner is the John Frieda radiant red, I'm a huge fan of it's actual red colour, so I feel like I'm giving something back to my hair. I then swap between Lush Rehab and Bumble and Bumble Sunday shampoo. The amount of hair masks and deep conditioning treatments I use may be a little excessive, but I do love to re-hydrate my hair. The Herbal Essences hair masks are great, and are cheap and easy to pick up from super markets or Boots. I also gave into the hype of the Lee Stafford treatment, I am so glad I did though, and even though I am yet to see any real inches grown, it feels great and leaves my hair feeling healthy. Another brand that can be picked up in Boots, so perfect if they have any hair care offers on. The other ranges include breaking hair, which also could work well for hair that needs a little TLC. My other masks are Bumble and Bumble Deeep, the description of this product is my hair down to a tee and it makes my hair feel luxurious and wonderful, this range isn't the cheapest and there are lots of cheaper alternatives out there  However if you have the money to try some of their items, then I can only recommend it. The other two deep conditioners I use are from Lush, I bounded to a shop as soon as I heard that Megan uses them. H'suan Wen Hua is such a favourite of mine, it has generally just helped the condition of my hair, with all the split ends and colour damage. American Cream is also wonderful, it is super thick and heavy but it doesn't leave my hair too greasy or heavy in anyway.

I use a mixture of styling products, the new one to my routine is Tresemme split end remedy. Although I am now trying to keep up with regular trims, I still think I little protection and help is needed. The item won't break the bank, but I think it honestly works well. I use my Moroccan Oil on dry hair mainly, keeping the frizz aware and giving it some protection for the weather. This little tester bottle has lasted me, close to, forever. You use such a small amount, so I think the price really spreads it self out.
I love the Toni & Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe collections, I attended the event a while back and got to review some wonderful products that. They are reasonably priced and do what they say on the tin, the hair spray is now one of my favourites and the volume powder does wonders- hello big hair ♥

I'd love to know your must have hair products, are you a red head- what do you use to keep your tresses beautiful?

  9. I really want some Moroccan Oil :) I've used the growth treatment on and off for a few years, I recently found like 2 tubs I'd just forgotten about (I hoard haircare, ha) so I've been using those again and I can't deny they keep my hair in such nice condition! I like the Lush stuff too, I find American Cream isn't the most effective at conditioning but I love the smell, and though I really like H'Suan Wen Hua I prefer Marilyn because obviously I'm a blonde and it just smells lovely. I quite like the Herbal Essences mask though I wouldn't be desperate to buy it again, and the Aussie Leave-in I've used every day for years (I swap between colour/long hair/miracle treatment cos I really don't think it makes much difference) as my ends get quite dry. I would recommend John Frieda Frizz-Ease extra strength serum if you're looking for a cheaper alternative to Moroccan Oil, it's really good and almost always on offer xxx
